Does this course replace the state-required Driver Education Traffic Safety (DETS) course or behind-the-wheel instruction?
No. This course is a road test preparation program only. It does not replace the state-approved DETS course, behind-the-wheel training, or any DMV-issued certification required to obtain your Florida Class E license. It’s designed to complement your practice and help you prepare for the driving skills test itself.
How long does it take to complete the course?
Most students complete all 10 modules in 8–12 hours. You can move at your own pace — finish it in a weekend or spread it across a few weeks. Each module takes roughly 45–60 minutes including the quiz.
What score do I need to pass each module quiz?
You need to score at least 80% (20 out of 25 questions correct) to pass each module quiz. If you score below 80%, you can review the material and retake the quiz as many times as needed.
Will this course guarantee I pass my Florida road test?
No course can guarantee you’ll pass — your road test performance depends on real-world driving skill developed through practice. What this course guarantees is that you’ll know exactly what examiners look for, what causes automatic failures, and how to approach every maneuver correctly. Combined with supervised practice, this dramatically improves your chances of passing.
Can I use this course if I've already failed the road test once?
Absolutely. This course is especially helpful for drivers retaking the test. Module 3 walks you through examiner scoring and common failure points, and Module 10 covers test-day strategy — both essential for turning a previous failure into a confident pass.
Is this course approved for ticket dismissal or traffic school credit?
No. This is a road test preparation course only and is not approved by Florida for ticket dismissal, insurance discounts, court-ordered traffic school, or any state-issued certification. For those purposes, you’ll need a DHSMV-approved traffic school course.
